Stomping Ground

Moorabbin, Victoria, AUS

Stomping Ground Morris Moor is an industrial-style, multi-purpose hospitality destination in Moorabbin, Victoria. The former Phillip Morris cigarette factory has been revitalized to a vibrant, chic food and beverage venue. The main bar is clad in existing switchboards with the original existing blue floor paint preserved to celebrate the building’s raw personality. The exposed timber columns and cross beams form a grid-like structure in the beer hall and give the space a warm, inviting atmosphere.

The lighting scheme was driven by aesthetics with a strong focus on highlighting materials, planters, tables, and prominent architectural features. A combination of restored, vintage pendants and brand-new LED fixtures compliment the architectural style. The pendants in the event space were re-purposed from a local salvage yard to create an authentic experience and reference the traditional warehouse aesthetic.
