To the left, is my original photograph that I had submitted with a previous contest to Sherwin Williams. To the right is their new banner, which includes a portion of my image, as one of the Cleveland landmarks. Quite an honor!

David Bryan Lile / David B Design Team Up With Candace Sveda Interiors And The New Davis Eye Center, Of Akron, Ohio.

by David Bryan Lile

What do you do when you want to relax, engage, and calm a patient, all at the same time, at one of the most progressive, innovative eye centers in the United States?  You present to them a unique, artistic image, in the eye examination room that accomplishes all three tasks!

Earlier in the year, David B Design was contacted by Candace Sveda, owner of Candace Sveda Interior Design Studio, of Hudson, Ohio about using  my unique, vibrant images, to potentially be placed in the new Davis Eye Center facility, of Akron, Ohio.  We looked through scores of my images and finally, interestingly enough, we choose a group of antique cars and professional vehicle images that I had taken at the Professional Car Society meet, earlier in the Summer.  All of the 30 x 40″ standout images look like eyes!  Not human eyes, mind you, but mechanical eyes!

In light of the images being quite enjoyable, fun and relaxing to look at, Candace choose the four Davis eye examination rooms and the examination room hallway, as their new home.  They are the perfect respite while waiting to have your eyes examined!

Thank you Candace, for including David B Design, in this wonderful project and congratulations, Davis Eye Center, with your new facility.  May your patients enjoy these new images…

“Here’s lookin at you kid!”

by David Bryan Lile
SAS Wall 01

I had a wonderful and insightful “Meet The Artists Night!” at the “Streetscapes” Exhibit, at the Summit Artspace, on Friday, August 12th.  Over 250 engaging attendees participated in this wonderful opening event, for this month’s “Streetscapes” exhibit.  I really enjoyed interacting with many of the people who viewed my images.

The exhibit features a wide variety of hand painted canvas art pieces, by many Akron area artists in conjunction with guest curator and exhibit planner, Brian Shellito, an Illustrator for the Akron Beacon Journal.  My gallery features 17 images of my David Bryan Lile / David B Design urban artistic photography.  This exhibit is a perfect fit of selected, diverse paintings, along with my elemental/architectural urban photography.  All of the images in the entire exhibit represent many unique views of Akron.

The “Streetsxcapes” exhibit runs through September 17th.  You may go to Summit Artspace to view the exhibit hours.

David B Design | David Bryan Lile | Exhibits At The Summit Art Space | Streetscapes – Akron in Plein Air

by David Bryan Lile

Urban landscape concept artistry comes in a variety of art forms.  I am excited to share my artistic urban photographic images of Akron, with the Summit Artspace and their upcoming gallery: Streetscapes – Akron in Plein Air.  Guest curator, Brian Shellito, an illustrator for the Akron Beacon Journal, created the Akron urban outdoor art concept.  “Plein air” is a French term, meaning “Open air.”   Streetscapes is a first time event that brings together local artists, who have painted outdoor urban landscapes from Akron’s city streets.

The images that I am showing in the Plein Air exhibit, were initially inspired months before, from an early  Sunday morning photo journey, into downtown Akron.  My daughter, Amy Carruthers, who owns                 C Studios Photography, in Columbus, Ohio, was visiting with us one weekend.  Occasionally, we have the wonderful opportunity to take time to journey together on a photo shoot.  Our times together are always inspiring, cathartic, interesting and amazing.  That particular early Sunday morning, we took the short trip into downtown Akron, to explore its urban architecture.  We walked through areas of the city and stopped at Lock 3, the Akron Public Library and various downtown buildings.   We photographed an unbelievable variety of Akron’s unique architectural and urban elements.  Many of my Streetscapes images, for this exhibit,  were created on that beautiful Sunday morning, with Amy.

I will be exhibiting my work  in a separate gallery, featuring seventeen of my vibrant, urban photographic images.  All of my David B Design images from this exhibition will feature an architectural and elemental look at the Akron landscape.

The Meet The Artists Public Opening Reception is Friday, August 12th, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.  The show then runs from August 12th through September 17th.

I am looking forward to seeing you at Summit Artspace!

David B Design And The Professional Car Society Photo Experience!

by David Bryan Lile

I had the privilege of  attending the International Meet of the Professional Car Society, in Boston Heights, Ohio.  The Professional Car Society is a group whose purpose is to restore and preserve old ambulances, hearses, flower vehicles, and additional professional cars.  It is quite amazing to see the original colors, body style, and make, of the ambulances and hearses….Bright powder blue, crazy orange, white and of course, candy apple red.  The vehicles themselves, are immaculate and absolutely beautiful.  I stopped by the vehicle event both on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, July 14th and 15th.  What a wonderful time taking and creating beautiful images of beautiful vehicles and having the privilege to meet some of the vehicle owners.  Quite insightful and interesting visits and also quite amazing!
